Review: everyday activities
Connect the skills from everyday activities in a practical exchange.
What you’ll work on
- Recall familiar phrases without a word bank.
- Connect patterns in a practical conversation.
- Use a clarification strategy when needed.
A short conversation
Google voice when available; device voice as a fallback. Read along, then try each line aloud.
Est-ce que vous travaillez ici ?
Do you work here?
Oui, nous travaillons au café.
Yes, we work at the café.
Vous finissez à six heures ?
Do you finish at six?
Non, nous ne finissons pas à six heures. Nous finissons à cinq heures.
No, we do not finish at six. We finish at five.
Et après ?
And afterward?
Nous prenons le bus.
We take the bus.
Keep the subject and ending together
Je parle and ils parlent can sound alike, but their written subjects and endings differ. Finir has -issons with nous; prendre has prenons; faire has faisons. Compare complete phrases instead of applying one ending pattern to every infinitive.
Use questions to continue
Ask a question you can follow up on: where someone works, when they finish, or what they do afterward. Add a negative answer to the practice. In standard writing, keep ne or n’ before the conjugated verb and pas after it.

Practice questions
Try every question, then check your answers. Capital letters and punctuation do not affect your score. Accents and ç do matter.
Showing an answer makes that question a practice item worth zero for this attempt. Retry with the answers hidden when you’re ready. If audio cannot play, use Show answer / text to practice by reading.
