Review: getting around and making plans
Connect the skills from getting around and making plans in a practical exchange.
What you’ll work on
- Recall familiar phrases without a word bank.
- Connect patterns in a practical conversation.
- Use a clarification strategy when needed.
A short conversation
Google voice when available; device voice as a fallback. Read along, then try each line aloud.
Tu vas faire quoi demain ?
What are you going to do tomorrow?
Je vais visiter le musée. J'ai besoin d'un plan.
I am going to visit the museum. I need a map.
Tu peux y aller à pied. Va tout droit, puis à droite.
You can go there on foot. Go straight ahead, then right.
Tu veux venir avec moi ?
Do you want to come with me?
Oui, d'accord. À dix heures ?
Yes, okay. At ten?
Check what follows the first verb
Je veux and je peux take a following infinitive directly. Je vais also takes an infinitive directly when expressing a future plan. Avoir besoin requires de: j’ai besoin de partir. Check that small linking word rather than adding the same preposition everywhere.
Make the plan usable
A listener needs an activity, a place, and a time. Add transport or directions if they help. Say a complete plan from memory, then change either the meeting place or the time and say the revised version.

Showing an answer makes that question a practice item worth zero for this attempt. Retry with the answers hidden when you’re ready. If audio cannot play, use Show answer / text to practice by reading.
